Up for auction is a vintage Royal Delft De Porceleyne Fles candy dish / tray. It stands on a pedestal.
It measures approximately 5 inches across and 2 1/4” high. Ideal as a trinket, candy or jewelry dish. Of course, most suitable for display with your De Porceleyne Fles collection (or to start one!).
It is in excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. It has the typical rich deep color of Royal Delft.
Founded in 1635, De Porceleyne Fles (The Porcelain Jar or Bottle) is Holland’s most famous Delft Blue factory. Of the dozens of original 17th century Dutch pottery makers, only De Porceleyne Fles remains in operation. Collectors know that delftware produced by De Porceleyne Fles, (also known as Royal Delft,) is recognized to be the standard against which all delftware is judged. Each piece is coded with the factory mark, an item number, the artist's initials, a date code.
