Description
TSI 9162 Photomultiplier Tube Holder & 9165 Power SupplyFor sale- a TSI Photomultiplier Tube Holder and Power Supply.
I had a box of both of these so I just randomly pulled out one of each.
Then I noticed that I had a 9162 PMT holder paired with a 965 PS but I had 9162 Power Supplies and 962 PMT holders.
They all look pretty much identical but I decided to match the triple digit models together, presumably they are a bit older since the 965 power supplies have the AC cord attached and many of the 9162 units use the modular AC cord instead. So this listing is for ONE 9162 PMT holder and ONE 9165 power supply.
But the ones you see in the picture have been sold, so you will get a different pair.
What I do NOT have is the cables to go between them. And while the HV cable is probably fairly easy to replicate the six pin male to female looks kind of proprietary to me.
Maybe it’s a standard I just don’t recognize or maybe you can work around it.
Whatever, that’s up to you.
I opened a 962 PMT holder to get a look at the PMT itself, which I would not have recognized.
However, there was a spec sheet stuffed in the base for a Burle 4526A so presumably that is what it is.
This was fairly time consuming so I did not look in any of the 9162 PMT holders to see if they were all the same.
If that’s a big deal let me know.
I did find one reference to the 4526A saying it was for laser detection to 800nm, but I have no idea if they know what they are talking about.
The power supply powers up as shown, otherwise untested, sold as is, and NO warranty is offered.
However, IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it.
Returns are ONLY allowed on Buy It Now Purchases.
Accepted Best Offers are strictly an as is sale, no returns allowed.

Just so that we are clear on that, this is an item that has not been thoroughly tested.
As such it may work fine or it may have problems, so any purchase entails a certain degree of risk.
If you Buy It Now your risk is limited to the shipping costs both ways.
If you submit an offer you do so knowing that you cannot return it.
In either case it is up to you to decide whether the risk level is acceptable to you, and if not you need to pass on this particular item.
I have maybe 8 of the 9162/9165 combos, so if you just need one of the two pieces please feel free to make an offer.
I have listed a 962/965 pair separately for a bit less money as well.
