    Description:
    Williamsburg Delft Large Virginia Tobacco Jar Made by OUD in Holland 10.5" model C 76. The original of this tin-enameled earthenware piece was made in the second half of the eighteenth century. Characteristic of Dutch delft, the colors are blue and white with the inscription reading "Virginia" OUD was licensed by the Colonial Williamsburg foundation to replicate an antique tobacco jar found in it's collection. OUD Colonial Williamsburg pieces are very difficult to find, especially tobacco jars. This is an outstanding example of delft without any issues. May also be used to make a lamp or as a vase.
